2 — Topology: links between zones
This step lets you graphically represent the zones defined in step 1 and create the topological links between them (network, physical, logical connections…), along with their security properties.
Toolbar
| Button / Control | Function |
|---|---|
| + Zone | Quickly adds a new zone directly from this view |
| ➕ Draw a link / ✕ Cancel link | Toggles link-drawing mode — click the source zone, then the target zone |
| + / - (zoom) | Zoom in / out on the diagram |
| ⊡ | Resets zoom and centring |
| ↩ / ↪ | Undo / Redo |
Working with the diagram
- Drag a zone: moves it on the canvas.
- Mouse wheel: zoom.
- Alt + left click (or middle-click) + drag: pans the view.
- Right-click a link: deletes the link.
- Click a zone: opens the zone detail panel.
- Click a link: opens the link configuration panel.
Each zone shows its name, its type, and badges indicating the number of checked vulnerabilities (🐛) and defined properties (🏷️) on the diagram.
Selected zone panel
Clicking a zone opens a side panel with:
| Section | Content |
|---|---|
| Fields | Name, type, description (editable) |
| 🏷️ Zone properties | Checkboxes among the properties defined in the vulnerability reference library |
| ⚙️ Zone equipment | Read-only table of equipment (present, name, category) — additions are made in 1 — Facility |
| 🐛 Checked vulnerabilities | List of vulnerability identifiers (V-xx) checked for this zone |
Selected link panel
Clicking a link opens a panel with:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Type | réseau, physique, logique, wifi, wan — displayed as-is, not translated in the interface |
| Trust | low, medium, high — colours the link on the diagram (red/orange/grey) |
| Bidirectional | The link allows traffic in both directions (double arrow on the diagram) |
| Filtering (firewall) | Indicates whether the link is filtered — an unfiltered link is drawn dashed |
| Protocols | List of protocols used (RDP, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, OPC-UA, Modbus, PROFINET, SNMP, VPN/IPSec, VPN/TLS…) — add/remove as chips |
| Link vulnerabilities | Subset of the reference library applicable to links (V5, V7, V20, V21) |
| 🗑 Delete | Deletes the link |
Consistency with vulnerabilities
The vulnerabilities checked here (zones and links) are the same ones managed in step 3 — Vulnerabilities, which offers a full tabular view by reference library chapter.
